Puzzler #3 First correct answer was from Justin on April 13th.  This was followed by Chris on April 15th.  LongHikes also answered correctly, but seeing that he is a collaborator on the website . . . .we needed to relegate his answer to the ataboy list.

The picture was of an old cabin located about halfway up Primrose Trail near Seward. Primrose ends at Lost Lake from the North, while Lost Lake Trail comes up to the same lake from the south.  Great trail for late summer, especially.  Hike in Primrose, spend a few days camping at the lake, hike out Lost Lake.

I took this picture with a point and shoot Olympus camera.  I never really knew what I had until I was looking at the pictures the next week on the computer. I don’t think I could have staged this shot any better. But at the time, I just looked back and –click– !  Since then, this pic keeps rising the the surface as one of my favorite pictures.

The picture was taken in late summer 2003. The cabin was still there in 2008, albeit somewhat more collapsed. But in the 3 or 4 times I have been on that trail, I’ve never seen the colors as great as in that shot.
